Falmouth to La Rochelle
2025 Falmouth UK to La Rochelle France

Tuesday 7 October 2025 - Wednesday 15 October 2025
8 nights & 350 nm
$7,500pp Forward Cabin / private head & shower (double occupancy)

We start in the classic UK port of Falmouth and keep an eye on the weather for a nice crossing of the English Channel. There are a number of charming ports on the way south down the Biscay coast. In the past we have stopped at Camaret Sur Mer, Brest, Douarnenez, Concarneau and the Glénan Islands. This time we will head further south and get to La Rochelle.

Falmouth is our base as we familiarize with the boat and provision for the cruise. It's an overnight passage across the western end of the English Channel, the busiest area of shipping in the world. We will prepare to deal with shipping, fishing boats and other traffic so we'll study up on our "Col-regs" (collision regulations) and handling TSS (traffic separation schemes).

Falmouth (photo below) is a charming port town and this time of year there will be other yachts besides us heading south for the season.

We will likely see dolphins on this route.
