Cascais is a charming seaside town just a few miles from Lisbon. We will provision here for the offshoot passage ahead. It's over 600 miles to Lanzarote but we may not do the route direct. Depending on the weather we might make a stop in Morocco, either at Tangier or more likely at Rabat on the west coast.

Prevailing winds are from North and Northeast force 4 meaning we have the wind behind us in November.
To get everyone familiar with the boat we will do a daysail from Cascais down the coast. Below is Sines town about 50 nautical miles south of Cascais.
We will likely see dolphins on this route.
Hats and jackets are a good idea especially at night.
